Why is it a innate need for women to make a situation so difficult...

Keep It Simple, SYSter

Why is it an innate need for women to make a situation so difficult? If you have a problem, and talk to a man, they will find the most direct and simple solution to solve the problem at hand. Where women on the other hand, will weigh all options, debate matters prior to finally making a decision. It really is true! I have seen this again and again with my husband and three boys first hand. They can always seem to come to an answer(sometimes the wrong one) and move on. I have been in the retail business long enough to see women take so much time debating over what to do in their lives and what to buy for their wardrobe. Matter of fact, they often agonize over what to buy or what they need. Women are always searching for the holy grail that will make them feel perfect and beautiful.

A woman's wardrobe can be first-rate with keeping it on the simple side. When you start with some interchangeable basics pieces, you will actually appear to have more clothes than you really do. Add the correct touch of accessories and you will always look put together. This is really the secret to a terrific wardrobe.

One of the key words you need to take note of is: interchangeable. Nothing that you add to your wardrobe should be purchased, unless it can be worn in at least two different ways. An example would be a classic black blazer; which I believe should be any every woman's wardrobe. A blazer has infinite ways it can be worn. You could wear it with a black A-line skirt and cream sweater with coordinating scarf at the neck. Another way to wear your black blazer would be in a more casual mode. Try wearing it with dress jeans and some dark mules, add your favorite blouse or camisole and some dangle earrings and you are all set!

So, next time you go shopping keep a plan in mind and be sure that what you have in your hand will really work. Ask yourself these questions:

Does this work with the basic pieces I already have in my closet?

Does the color, cut, style work for my body type?

Does this garment communicate the image that I want to express?

Mostly importantly, does this work two or more ways in my wardrobe?

When having only the items in your closet that really work will finally limit the anxiety of dressing, and be able to throw together an outfit in no time!
