Real Men Like A Little ‘Junk In The Trunk’

This should come as a relief from all that dieting and exercise that we are just thinking about doing! You can relax now knowing that ultra slim is not the preferred body form that interest most men. If you survey men all of ages, say at your local mall-they would choose pictures of women with some curves. A little ‘junk in the trunk’, is what I mean.

The ultra slim or skinny model is what we women grew up reading about in the fashion/teen magazines and assumed this was the desired look for us. Just to be as slender, as pretty, as fashionably dressed as the models and then, we know we would finally be something special.

There have been some celebrities in the news lately that, I think have been given bad advice by their agents, stylists and the like. I think they were told they were too pudgy and could lose a few pounds. The celebs that I am thinking about are Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie. They have suddenly lost a lot of weight. These young women are in the spot light and are pushed to be glamorous by everyone in the business, and their need for perfection is monumental.

Many women (sometimes men) suffer an obsession with wanting the perfect body. The need can be so strong that taking extreme and abnormal measures then becomes a norm for them. Next thing they know it, it has become physically and psychologically addictive. They many exercise daily for hours, hardly eat, look in the mirror and still feel they are not thin enough. When this happens the perfectionism sadly becomes an obsession.

Instead of worrying about “perfect” and your body and trying to fit it into this category-just love it! This idea of perfectionism is self-defeating. Yes, you want to take care of it-it’s the only one you have, but embrace some of the ‘junk in the trunk’!
